Money in Politics Chicago Briefing

CED was hosted by Crain’s Chicago Business for a breakfast presentation and poll release on money in politics and corruption in Chicago politics to an audience of approximately 50 local business leaders. The panel featured Mike Petro, Executive Vice President, Committee for Economic Development; Cynthia Canary, Senior Advisor, Committee for Economic Development; Dan Conley, Founder and Owner, Beacon Communications; Bob Kueppers, Former Vice Chairman & Deputy CEO, Deloitte LLP; and Frank Sennett, Director of Digital Strategy and Custom Media, Crain’s Chicago Business.

At the breakfast, the panel discussed results from CED’s Money in Politics Chicago Survey. The poll, which was done in collaboration with Crain’s Custom Media, reveals concerns from business leaders over the influence of money and corrupt practices in Chicago politics.
