New Mexico Association of Commerce and Industry Annual Retreat

CED’s Executive Vice President Mike Petro provided panel remarks to an audience of local business leaders and concerned citizens during the New Mexico Association of Commerce and Industry’s Annual Retreat in Sante Fe, NM.

Petro’s remarks focused on CED’s recently released report, Crony Capitalism, Corruption and the Economy in the State of New Mexico. The report outlines the rise of crony capitalism in the New Mexico and puts forth a three-step plan that eliminates corruption and energizes economic growth in the state. Other panelists included Dr. Michael Rocca, Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of New Mexico; Simon Brackley, President & CEO, Sante Fe Chamber of Commerce; and Mark Lautman, Principle, Lautman Economic Architecture.
