Promoting student success through reform of human resource policies in education
Improving the quality and support of our nation's education workforce is critical to addressing the economic and societal challenges of our nation. Business leaders can play a critical role in developing and implementing innovative policies to strengthen our educator workforce.
CED engages business leaders and other key stakeholders together to inform and impact teacher quality policy to build a coalition of support for effective teaching reforms in education at the state and local levels.
Putting the Pieces Together – Developing the "Roadmap"
Working with our partners in the effort to improve the public education system, CED is engaging with the larger "2020 Vision Workgroup" to advise on the polling and by studying ways to measure educational opportunity nationwide. You can see the 2020 Vision Roadmap report here. CED will continue to provide input to inform the "roadmap" work of the group, and participate in meeting discussions on best strategies and practices for reforming education at the state and national level. CED's work on improving education is supported by funding from the Schott Foundation.
CED's experience in working with coalitions to disseminate policy work allows us to bring together diverse constituencies around education policy. Working with the "2020 Vision Workgroup" partners, we will reach out to business leaders to promote this effort through our website, online communications and by hosting a CED policy event.
