Evaluating Teachers: Kentucky’s Approach to Creating a Successful System is a second state report of the Prichard Committee’s Team on Teacher Effectiveness.  The report brief provides an overview of the state’s evaluation system, known as the Professional Growth and Effectiveness System, or PGES; elements involved in its development including a timeline; participation of various stakeholders; and, considerations as the new system evolves in broader pilot stages.  PGES is one component of a framework that includes additional areas of focus.
