2010 Annual Dinner

On November 30, at the Annual CED Gala Awards Dinner at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City, CED recognized five leading individuals and companies for their outstanding work on major policy issues facing corporations and society.

The 2010 Annual Meeting policy breakfast on December 1 featured author Gideon Rose, the Editor of Foreign Affairs, who gave a captivating synopsis of his most recent book, How Wars End: Why We Always Fight the Last Battle.

Later that day, CED hosted the Second Annual Economic Summit on restoring fiscal health in the United States, from a global business perspective. Keynote speakers included Peter Orszag, former Director of the Office of Management and Budget and Congressional Budget Office and Fred Smith, Chairman, President, and CEO of FedEx Corporation.

Also in conjunction with the Annual Awards Dinner and Economic Summit CED hosted the Annual Conference of International Organization of Private Business Organizations.
