Economic Contribution of the Food and Beverage Industry

On March 16, 2017, The Committee for Economic Development hosted a discussion on our report: Economic Contribution of the Food and Beverage Industry. 

The report was commissioned by CED and prepared by researcher Laurian Unnevehr, Professor Emerita, Agricultural and Consumer Economics, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The breakfast featured remarks from food industry leaders, economists and public officials, and was followed by a panel of experts explaining the key aspects of the economic effects of the food industry on the broader economy.
